The Fine Art of Pinch-Hitting

Since we've already had a question about signing up to pinch-hit, here's how we do it! If you think you might be interested in volunteering, join and track the Pinch-Hitter's Dugout: spnrbb_pinchhit.

When a piece of art becomes writerless, we will post it there and the first kind soul to claim it, gets it. We'll then work up a new deadline with the pinch-hitter and hopefully, all is well from there on out!

It's important for an author to really commit to writing when claiming a piece of art in the first place--no artist likes feeling abandoned--but if you feel you cannot complete the fic you've claimed, regardless of reason, please let us know ASAP so the pinch-hitter has the most time possible to write. There is no shame in admitting you can't finish a fic; life gets in the way sometimes! Vanishing and leaving us and the artist in the lurch, however, is not awesome.
