Get Pumped, Get Prompts!

It's almost that time again! We're on the verge of the big SPN RBB shindig, so to kick it all off, we’re borrowing a little appetizer from the generous sirona_gs over at the avengers_rbb and hosting a 'Get Pumped, Get Prompts' post.

Use this opportunity to squee and discuss what you, as authors, would love to write, what inspires you in a piece of fanart, as well as what we artists are jonesin' to create! Post all your prompts and chat with the artists here. (This is, of course, no guarantee your suggestions will show up on Claims Day, but personally, I could use a little inspiration so I figured maybe others could too.)

Hi! Awww, glad you remembered! I wasn't sure I'd have time for it this year, and was disappointed in my experience last year with the Sassy big bang... no one's fault, and my artist was a total sweetie, but man I put heart and soul into that fic, the longest I've ever written, and then virtually no one read it. Sassy's a bit difficult-- I don't know why, but it's not too popular. Half of the stories that I read IN the Sastiel Big Bang didn't even really ship Sassy or Mishalecki!

Still remember your fic from it though, and very fondly. :-)

Oh man, I am sorry to hear that. ;_; Sassy's gotten more popular thanks to the latest season, but yes, I agree it's not as popular as I certainly think it should be. =/ The summaries these year seem pretty intriguing though, so maybe we'll get a good batch for you to read?

Also, your comment below reminded me that I didn't contribute to the discussion, so here goes: I tend to pick artworks by asking 3 questions:
1. Am I expected to write Destiel/Cockles? (I can't write those pairings, so that rules out the piece immediately)
2. Do I understand the characters that are the focus of the image?
3. Do I know what to do with the scene depicted or the description given?

Of course, it also helps if I like the art style of a given piece, but I'd rather choose something I know I could do justice than simply the most beautiful one to me.
