I have tried to look at this, and the only options I have are private, friends and custom. I have it set on friends, I don't know how to get it to a public setting? Please, if anyone can clue me in, I'd appreciate it, because it really is lovely art, and I want everyone to see what a lovely job the artist did.

Hmmm, did you look at the album settings of the individual image settings? The latter should have a public option as well (you get there by clicking on the image and then the little pencil icon).
Here's the LiveJournal FAQ answer on conflicting security levels (https://www.livejournal.com/support/faq/255.html) maybe you can find the issue there? If not, let me know and I'll see if I can find out more:)

Thanks so much! I think that did the trick. It was weird because the album setting was public, but each individual picture was set to friends. Ah well. I think it's good now, because I logged out and I could still see it, but let me know if it still needs to be adjusted.

Yay, I can see it from the other account now as well, it worked! I assume the separate image/album settings are because you can move an image between albums without the link changing so they are not really connected.
