As usual, we have more authors than artists, so if you're debating whether to turn in one or two prompts, go for that second gorgeous piece of art! Here's a silly question, but if there are more authors than artists, are we allowed a third piece? lol. Like I don't have enough on all ready but....*grabbyhands*

There's ALWAYS more authors than artists, pretty much without fail. ;) However, the problem we run into is with making a posting schedule; we try to give artists who have multiple prompts a bit of time between posting dates because as much as everyone tries, life gets busy, procrastination happens, etc. It's tough enough with two pieces to juggle that, let alone three. I'd say a good 1/4 to 1/3 of our participants have difficulties making their assigned date, and this is a BIG event, so you can imagine how tricky it gets. This year, we went with two pieces.

All this being said ... this gives me an idea! Maybe next year, we can hold an additional mini-event, where artists submit a piece of art and instead of having authors make unique claims, anyone can choose any visual piece to be inspired by and work from. Multiple authors may end up choosing the same piece, it's no big deal. The artists won't be expected to create additional art for these fics and we won't have assigned posting dates; we may have a posting month, like some comms do.

Think this'll fly? I'm kinda digging this idea...

I think that'll definitely fly, I love the idea and it'll give great diversity, lots of takes on one piece :D
