Questions & Answers
Sep. 24th, 2010 05:02 pmClaiming is now underway at all three claims posts. Hopefully, everyone has had a chance to swing by and put in their choices, but if not, there is still plenty of art left.
About the Claims Process:
To the Artists: If any of your prompts have been claimed already, you may feel free to PM or contact your writer. We will be sending out an official email notifying everyone of who they claimed/were claimed by, but that will likely take a few days for us to get through.
Questions: If anyone has any questions about the process, please comment in the appropriate thread below so that my gmail account will sort them correctly.
Withdraw: If you would like to drop out or withdraw from the challenge, please comment in the appropriate thread: Hi, just letting you know I'll be dropping out of the writing portion. There is no need to state a reason, unless you wish to.
-Bauble (one of the mods)
ETA: I (Bauble) will be available to reply immediately in the next hour, but after that, I, and all of the rest of the mods will be unavailable tonight. So if you do not receive an immediate response, please be patient--we will answer when we return.
About the Claims Process:
- We (the mods) made three separate claims for the sake of organization, and also because there were simply too many claims to fit into one post. This is our first time running a challenge of this type (Reverse Bangs have only been done in two other fandoms to our knowledge), and with so many participants, so we ask for your patience and understanding as we are still figuring out how best to organize this as we go.
- We assigned claims in the order they appear in our LJ inbox, which is in the order they were posted overall. We did our best to ensure a speedy and fair process, but we are only human and there were over 150 prompts and at least as many writers. We understand if you are disappointed that you did not get precisely what you wanted, but there are still plenty of wonderful art prompts unclaimed as of yet, so we encourage you to review the posts to see if there's anything else you could possibly write for.
- We understand that some of the art prompts are quite popular. However, in the interest of fairness to all the artists involved, there will be no double-claiming of any particular prompt until all of the prompts have been claimed at least once. If, at the end of this round of claiming, there are any remaining art prompts, we will go through a second round of claims wherein authors may claim a second, previously unclaimed prompt to write for. This means that if there is any unclaimed art at the end of several rounds of claims, there will be no double claiming at all allowed in this entire round of the challenge.
