Pinch-Hitter Sign-Ups 2011

This is the post for people who would like to pinch-hit fic for this challenge. Sign-ups will be open until the challenge ends.

Authors will be expected to write a fic with a minimum of 3,000 words, based on the art. As pinch-hits become available, we will contact you by e-mail and give you 24 hours to accept the prompt and deadline before we reach out to another pinch-hitter.

Fics must be beta read. You may refer to our beta-sign up post to contact people who have volunteered to help out, or use your own betas (we will not be assigning betas in this challenge).

I suppose this is indirectly related to the pinch-hitting: what does the "Second Artist Check-In/First Writer Check-in" on Tuesday, October 18 mean? Do we need to mail something, will there be a check-in post?
