Author Sign-Ups 2019
Sign ups for Authors are now closed.
Authors will be expected to write a fic with a minimum of 3,000 words, based on the art you choose in the Art Claims post. Art previews will go up on Thursday September 26th. Claims will be first come, first served on Saturday, September 28th.
Fics must be beta read. You may refer to our beta-sign up post to contact people who have volunteered to help out, or use your own beta.
To SIGN UP, please leave a comment on this post with your user name, the URL of the primary journal you'll be using (LJ, DW, Tumblr, AO3, etc.) and a reliable e-mail address.
Writer sign-ups close Friday September 27th Noon EDT/16:00 GMT
Please be sure you can commit to the obligations of this event.
In addition to being inspired by the artwork you claim, you must communicate with the artist about content of the fic, as well as rating and warnings.
Mandatory rough drafts meeting the word count of 2,500 will be due Sunday, November 3rd.
Posting of fanwork collaborations will begin Monday, November 11th.
If you run into issues with hitting your deadlines, please contact your artist and let us know ASAP, so we can either discuss a possible extension, or assign a pinch-hitter. If you vanish without a trace or stop responding to us, you won't be welcomed to future RBs with us.
We recommend that everyone who wishes to participate joins, watches and/or bookmarks the LJ community to make sure they do not miss important deadlines or updates to the challenge. We will only post abridged notifications on Tumblr, Twitter, Dreamwidth and Pillowfort, directing participants to check LJ for announcements.
