2014 Art Submission Guidelines
We've had a few people ask about how to send in their artwork, so without further ado...
You must include the following information in the body of your e-mail:
Please copy and paste the above text into your email to make sure you don't forget anything.
If you have any questions, please comment here, send an email to spnreversemod@gmail.com.
- Art pieces should be completed drafts. You may still make changes, but the art should be complete enough that a writer could work from it even if no changes are made.
- Submissions should be sent to spnreversemod@gmail.com with the subject: Art Submission. Attach the file to the email.
- Artists may submit up to two (2) separate pieces of art for this challenge, but only if they make the Early Bird deadline with the first of them. If the Early Bird deadline is missed artists may only submit one (1) piece .
- If you are doing a comic style piece with panels, it must be one image file which will then count as one piece.
- There is no maximum size for art, though each art prompt must be at least 400 by 600 pixels. If it is a vid it must be at least 30 seconds in length.
- There is no need to submit a thumbnail version.
- Images can be sent in the following formats: GIF, JPG, PNG, and TIFF.
- Vids can be sent in the following formats: AVI, MOV, MPG, and WMV.
- Please do not upload your art anywhere; artwork should remain anonymous until after claims reveals. If and only if you have a vid with a file size too large to e-mail, you may upload to an anonymous file sharing site like mediafire and send us the link.
- Please make the file name your LJ username and whether it's RPF, SPN(FPF) or either. For example, yournamehere_either.jpg or yourusernamehere_spn.avi. If you are submitting multiple pieces, your Early Bird prompt should also have the word early in the file name and subsequent files should have unique names. For example, early_yournamehere_either.jpg or early_yourusernamehere_spn.avi; yourusernamehere_spn1.jpg and yourusernamehere_spn2.jpg. This will allow us to keep things organized and to ensure no duplicate file names.

If you do submit art, you can always sign up to pinch hit as an author. I hate to say it, but we WILL need pinch hitters. Also, if you're on the fence about which you want to do, author signups don't close until after art is due. So, if you sign up as an artist and end up not turning anything in, you can then sign up as an author.
