ROUGH DRAFT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Drafts are due by Sunday, December 8th, 11:59 PM PST, but you may send them in beforehand if you are ready. Here are the guidelines for submitting your fic rough drafts:

• There is no maximum word count, but your rough draft should be a minimum of 3,000 words.


• It should also have a beginning, middle and end, and have descriptive paragraphs in place of any missing scenes.


• Submissions should be sent to spnreversemod@gmail.com with the subject: Fic Draft Submission. Attach the file to the email. Do NOT copy it into the body of the email.


• You may only submit one attachment. Please combine all chapters into one document.


• Your rough drafts do not need to be betaed at this time, but all fic should be betaed by your posting date.


• Fic can be sent in the following formats: TXT, DOC, DOCX, RTF


• Please make the file name your LJ username. For example, if your username was spnreversemod you would title your attachment spnreversemod.doc or spnreversemod.rtf. This will allow us to keep things organized and to ensure no duplicate file names.

You must include the following information in the body of your e-mail:

Livejournal Name:
Email:
Prompt Number:
Pairing or Gen:
Main Characters:
Word Count:

Please copy and paste the form into your email to make sure you don't forget anything.

Is the posting schedule going to be up before the rough draft submission date? I had expected it even before check-ins, but understand it was postponed. I don't mean to be pushy, but seeing as I'm going to be offline from next week until January 9th, I'd really like to be able to set permanent deadlines for myself and my authors before then. (As far as I know they all have their rought drafts ready to hand in)

If we're submitting more than one draft, should we attach both to the same email or send them separately? Should we add the prompt number to our user name when naming the file?

Hi there,
I may have a problem for when I'm ready to submit my fic...I'm writing it in Google Docs because I don't have any type of Word software on my computer. How would I send that to you? I can 'share' the document, but I don't know if the mods have Google Drive.

Google-docs also provides the option of emailing the doc as attachment:
File -> Email as attachment
Choose 'Attach as' 'Microsoft Word'

That should be fine. Just be sure to make a note when you submit your draft so we can match you to the right artist and update your listing.

i sent my rough draft nearly twelve hours ago. i thought there would be acknowledgement of having received the rough drafts. Maybe i'm mistaken though. Is there a possibility of getting a note that says yea or nay? i have to sleep soon and will not be online again until well into tomorrow. i don't want my artist to be told she needs a pinch hitter because of miscommunication.

Sorry to be a pestilence - I just wanted to drop a note here because I'm paranoid that my emails might not be getting to you lovely gals.

I received a message this morning saying that my draft hadn't been received. I replied to that message (and had previously sent in my draft) and haven't heard back.

It's of course totally cool if you gals just haven't answered those messages yet, but I wanted to check since it sounds like my earlier email hadn't made it through. Thanks so much!

I may have amnesia due to the holiday's at the moment. But I wanted to confirm I submitted my draft, I am pretty confident I did then again I've been so busy with work and now Christmas it could have slipped my mind. I hope not because the story is complete and I sent the story to my artist already and she has been working busy on art for the story.
