Summary:
The thing that people forget about legends is that they were once actual men, men full of want and desperation and love. “Brothers,” archaeologists would declare after examining the graffiti of the crumbling wall of what was once a pub in the very bones of Rome. “Lovers,” slaves had whispered as they went about their tasks in and around the Ludi. “Both,” spectators screamed in scandalized delight as the pair shared an adrenaline fueled kiss over the most recent pile of bodies to fall at their feet. They were warriors, sprung fully grown from the fields of Rome and formed by Mars himself for the Coliseum. As gladiators whose names would go down in history, Romulus and his wolf were as legendary as they come.
